How Thank the Teacher works
One parent starts a collection, the class contributes together, and the teacher receives one thoughtful thank you from everyone. No cash to collect, no chasing at the school gates.
The three steps
- 01
Create your teacher collection
Add the teacher's name, the class or group, and a closing date. It takes a couple of minutes and there is nothing to pay to set one up.
- 02
Share the private link
You get one link to share with the other parents and families — usually in the class WhatsApp group. Collections are private: there is no public listing and no way to search for them.
- 03
Everyone contributes and leaves messages
Each family chooses their own amount and can add a short message for the teacher. Joining in is optional, and the organiser can see the contributions and messages added.
When the organiser is ready to close
On the closing date, the organiser closes the collection. The full value collected is redeemed as an M&S gift card for the teacher, and the messages left by the class are kept together so they can be shared alongside it.
There is no cash withdrawal option: Thank the Teacher collections are always redeemed as a gift for the teacher.
Thank the Teacher is operated by Gift Round Limited, not M&S. Retailer names and trade marks belong to their owners.
